Esteemed Delegates,
It is a great honor and privilege for me to welcome you to the eleventh edition of KCPMUN. My name is Andres Castro, and I am this year’s President of the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC).

The topics that DISEC will address this year are critical to fostering international peace and security. The committee will focus on achieving nuclear weapon disarmament in the 21st century. They offer delegates a unique opportunity to discuss and collaborate on some of the most pressing challenges facing our global community. As members of this committee, I encourage you to engage in thoughtful debate, explore creative and practical solutions, and remain true to your delegation’s policies and DISEC’s overarching goals. Your ability to work diplomatically and respectfully with fellow delegates will be key to reaching meaningful resolutions that advance the committee’s objectives.
