Esteemed delegates,
Welcome to KCPMUN X. My name is Isabella Ritzel, and I am honored to be one of your presidents for the Security Council Committee for this year’s conference.
The Security Council holds a central position in the United Nations, focusing on urgent and present-day issues that may jeopardize international peace and security. It addresses challenges like armed conflicts and others that might threaten international stability, with its mission to prevent these dangers and devise solutions that ensure international peace.
Throughout this conference, the committee will delve into the militarization of space, the prevention of space-based conflicts, and the protection of its infrastructure. Given the extensive and challenging nature of this topic, a clear understanding is crucial for the flow and development of the committee. As president, I encourage you to come well-prepared for in-depth discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and effective cooperation with fellow delegates. It is essential for each delegate to fully comprehend their respective nation’s position to seek solutions that best suit their interests.
If you have any questions, doubts, or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email at iritzel@kcparrish.edu.co. I look forward to collaborating with you during the KCPMUN X edition.
Sincerely,
Isabella Ritzel, President of Security Council
